Handmade in the USA

This Vase is a One of a Kind. The Vase is functional and looks beautiful with and without a bouquet of Flowers!

Foster Holcombe’s fascination with creating art glass began in 1976 with his stained glass studio in Denver, Colorado. In 1978, he attended a summer seminar in enameling techniques at Pilchuck and his love for hot glass began. In 1980-81 he studied glassblowing, decorating and technology in Stourbridge - the heart of England’s glass industry.

The artist combines the art of sculpture and painting in a process of free-blowing glass – transforming molten glass at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit into Art Glass – using the skills of calculated timing and continual movement while working the molten glass.

Ribbons of vibrant color run through each hand-formed vase.  Colors subtly change depending on the light. The luster resembles a metallic glaze and gives a silvery iridescence to the Vase – as it plays with the light.

The vases are functional but look stunning – as a stand alone Art Glass Piece – particularly in natural light.

Todd Hansen joined the Art of Fire studio 1999 and Josh Ries joined in 2003. The Work is collaborative and distinctive – creating signature lustre fan vases with random trails – using no molds.

Each vase is literally One- of- a-Kind.
