This Red Bird Sculpture feels like looking through a window into the natural world. Color is hand painted with a vibrant and transparent auto-body paint.

The engineering of Sondra’s “box” sculpture series is both intriguing and beautiful and reflects serenity.

This piece can hang on the wall in a tiny nail as well as sit on a tabletop.

The Artist loves playing with positive and negative shapes within her intricately cut aluminum sculptures, so that they cast beautiful shadows.

Carefully planned out patterns and textures are ground into the surface of the aluminum to reflect light, giving the appearance of movement. After being laser cut  and manually bent  and sealed with a clear coat. Each piece is then hand ground to create reflective patterns.

Aluminum has a beautiful sheen, tendency to not corrode, and light weight in comparison to other metals. The "brushed" aluminum paired with kiln formed glass is complimentary and stunning together.

Intricately cut by laser and then hand ground to create reflective patterns, manually bent, formed and assembled then sealed with a clear coat. Painted transparent colors allow the texture of the metal to shine through. Fused glass adds color and dimension.

Sondra Gerber graduated from Colorado Art Institute in 1994 with a design degree.
