This beautiful clock is a collaborative work of art between two American Craft Studios: Schlabaugh & Sons and Motawi Tileworks.

“We have been handcrafting clocks since 1980. Much of our woodworking knowledge has been passed down from our father, also a woodworker in our studio. Our styles range from traditional to retro 50's influences”.

John & Mark began working for their father, Emil in the home construction business. Emil, in his 80's, still comes to the shop everyday, unless he's golfing. His solid woodworking knowledge is the rock on which the business was founded.

While building cabinets for custom homes, John and Mark each found ways to express themselves through the art of woodworking. Neither brother has had formal training in woodworking.  Mark has designed work that is more contemporary in nature. John enjoys designing work that is Arts & Crafts and Greene & Greene inspired. They are licensed by the Frank Lloyd Wright Society; are known for top-quality workmanship and committed to maintaining accessible price points.

Their Work has been featured in the Renwick Gallery and National Gallery of Art at the Smithsonian, the Gamble House in Pasadena, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
